A Message to Islam: Your Condemnation is Meaningless

So, another attack has happened by another Islamic Fascist. The city of Nice has been rocked again and we, as citizens of the world, are standing by…watching. My somewhat reactionless expression is almost a reflection of the attitude that we collectively hold. It’s not surprising anymore. It’s not news anymore. Until something in policy reflects the attitude of strong secular values, nothing will get done.

But what is my point? An attack has happened and the world stands by. Islamic leaders “condemn” the actions taken up by these fascists — as if the doctrine of Islam does not support the fascistic characteristics that individuals have interpreted; and rightly so. But these condemnations mean nothing. To condemn these actions are just words. They do not display genuine support for a country that is clearly suffering from a tug-o-war between tolerance and secular militancy.

Support needs to be backed up by actions, not words. What actions though? A march? A parade? How many deaths is it going to take before the adherents of Islam finally realize that their religion is the problem; not the interpretation of their religion?

If I were to further the conveyance of my thoughts — the mere fact that an interpretation of such violence and hatred has the potential to come about showcases how flawed the ideology is. Provided the idea of what peace truly means — that being the freedom from disturbance and a state of tranquility — if peace was the sole objective for the adherents of Islam, then it would be impossible to develop an interpretation of violence. The mere ability to interpret a verse or a concept as a violent principle is the illumination of its defect. But I digress.

If Islam does not take these actions seriously then the cascade of equalizing responses may be the beginning of something that no one wants.
